Across June, Wildman, 34, was the target of a week-long manhunt in Manitoba and Ontario before being apprehended by Ontario Provincial Police near Belleville, Ont.
Yesterday, #rcmpmb charged Eric Wildman, 34, with First Degree Murder in the homicide of Clifford Joseph, 40, from RM of St. Clements. Joseph reported missing on June 7. His remains found on July 27. Manhunt for Wildman saw him arrested by @OPP_News near Belleville, ON, June 18.

Joseph, a 40-year-old Wildman’s next-door neighbor in the RM of St. Clements, went missing on June 7. Later that day, his vehicle was discovered abandoned, and his absence was regarded as suspicious by authorities.
Wildman was declared a person of interest five days later, and sightings were recorded in a number of rural Manitoba villages.
He was apprehended when police were tipped off to his vehicle being parked outside a Belleville home, and he was taken into custody after an incident in which police said they were fired upon.
Officers discovered police tactical equipment, patches, and other items mimicking officer uniforms when they searched his truck, Manitoba RCMP alerted the public before he was apprehended.
Joseph’s remains had not yet been discovered when Wildman was arrested and charged with a number of firearms-related offences, as well as attempted murder by Ontario police.
RCMP discovered human remains in Stead, Man., on July 27 and confirmed they were Joseph’s.
